My new favorite! You have to try the haggis nachos they are the best nachos I've ever had in my life. They top it with nacho cheese, cottage cheese, haggis, fresh tomato & green vegetable! 🥰🔥 It tastes so so good! As a starter it made us feel so full and it's for two of us (🥰 not to complaining at all). Then it comes to the main course💝, the house special haggis it's a must try. They top it with haggis then the bottom two layers are the seasonal vegetable and mashed potato, it came with this amazing whiskey sauce. Oh my god it's so good. Then you have to try the chicken haggis dish, I don't know how they did it.😯 So the outside layer is tender bacon I think Then in the middle part is the tenderest chicken ever😍, and the center part is the haggis next, they use mashed potato as the bottom layer and surrounding it with some white creamy sauce that has black pepper in it. I highly recommend this restaurant. It's the best food ever. We could barely finish the whole meal.🤣I would definitely come back again as I think it's the best restaurant in Scotland!Oh, don't forget about the hot port🔥🍷, one of its kind!

If you want to enjoy Scotland traditional food, you should visit his restaurant as we were. We tried Princess Diana's haggis, it was warm and had a smoothing taste. Unfortunately it was not my cup of the, Anyway thank you for the reasonable waiter when we were confused about what to order!

Give haggis a chance - I’m glad we did! We enjoyed lunch consisting of the Princess Diana Haggis, Beef and Haggis Burgers, and the Deconstructed Steak and Ale Pie. The star of the show really was the haggis. It’s an interesting flavor and texture that the cream sauce complimented very nicely. The other meals were good, but not anything incredible. Would absolutely recommend overall!

I absolutely loved the charm of this place! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. I tried haggis for the first time, and it was delicious—definitely exceeded my expectations. Even though a reservation is usually required, we were lucky to get a table right away. After discussing our general preferences, the waiter recommended a whiskey, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. Overall, a wonderful experience with great food, drinks, and service!

Located just off the Royal Mile this lovely corner pub with great atmosphere is a Haggis & whiskey bar. Tried the”Best Haggis in Edinburgh” with the whiskey sauce. It was amazing & delicious with the right portions of neets & tats with the haggis. The whiskey sauce is luxurious. Great meal

An absolute gem of a place..staff so friendly, place clean and welcoming, great choice on the menu and the food…omg amazing. We come to Edinburgh yearly and this is always our first visit! If you are gluten free they cater for it and even do a gluten free haggis which is really good. Prices are also totally dependant on your choices of food and drink too. If you visit this beautiful city, then this is a must.

Great whisky house right bang in the middle of many attractions. I tried the famous Haggis, neeps and tatties and I wasn't disappointed! It looked great and filled me up for the whole day.I went for the Princess Diana Haggis which has the special sauce, made out of cream, tomatoes, mushrooms and whisky. Tasted delicious and was plated really nicely. For a bar/restaurant that is mostly mentioned on every article I read about Haggis, I managed to find a table. They only do walk-ins, no pre-booked tables. Which bodes well for anyone who wants to just stumble in and try some whisky or a meal. They do open from 12, which might be inconvenient for some people, but most places serve this dish from that time onwards anyway.Highly recommend.

What a wonderful and cosy little restaurant! As I imagine a lot of visitors to Edinburgh do, we wanted to try haggis. So after a little Google search we found Arcade. It had a beautiful quaint atmosphere, lovely decor and the staff were great. After walking there on a rather warm evening I was fanning myself with my menu to try and cool off and the waiter noticed this so he opened the door for me to get some cool air in which was very kind. They had an enormous selection of drinks, including many many whiskeys, much to my husbands delight! For dinner I went for the haggis tower and trust me the picture does not do it justice, it's massive! But also super tasty 🤤. I opted to go without the whiskey sauce just down to personal preference. My husband had the pie which was absolutely delicious also.If you are in Edinburgh and want a cosy restaurant with delicious options, then this little gem will not disappoint.

This was by far one of the best Haggis meals I've ever had. It was rich in flavours and I would definitely recommend having it with the whisky sauce as it gives the moisture it needs. It is a large meal, despite other review photos seeming to show it being a small portion. We ordered the cheeseboard as a dessert but asked for it to be changed as the main itself was quite filling. The waitress was happy to accommodate our request and brought us the Mango Cheesecake instead. This is a first come first serve, so make sure you pop in beforehand to avoid waiting.

Amid all the glowing reviews for this restaurant, if there is anything I would like people to take away from my review, it is that this establishment is criminally overrated and if you plan on visiting, please proceed with caution. Whilst I can understand that I perhaps visited on a bad day, the marked difference between the ratings and my experience still needs an explanation.Let's begin with the service. Half the service staff are seriously uninterested and seemingly unmotivated. One man was particularly unpleasant and cold in his attitude - not a great first impression. For instance, he seemed to effectively provide an apathetic non-answer when I asked about how long it would take to get a table. I can appreciate that, once again, it may have been a disagreeable day, but nonetheless it was overall poor service. This is not to say that all the waiting staff are uncaring; there was one lady in particularly who always had an enthusiastic smile when serving our table, which I found as a refreshing dose of friendliness. In terms of food, I find myself with mixed feelings. Whilst the dishes we ordered (the Haggis with whisky sauce, Lamb burger with chips and the smoked salmon starter) tasted decent, the issue is the price. The food is certainly slightly too expensive, even for an eatery just off the Royal Mile. For instance, we ordered the extra of bread and butter for £4.50, but received three slices of regular bloomer bread, plus packaged butter - just shy of daylight robbery. In terms of the food itself, they were all decent dishes. As someone who has never had haggis before, the Haggis dish was of a decent texture and taste, but lacked flavour and was quite heavy - without the Whisky sauce the dish would also be too dry. However, there is nothing wrong with the food so you won't walk away overly disappointed in that regard.Overall, however, still a big letdown. From the cold service we received to the inflated expectations set by all the gleaming reviews, this restaurant is somewhere I will make sure not to revisit, and quite frankly, I would not recommend anyone else visit when there are so many other spots in Edinburgh. This establishment is, in my view, unworthy of the title of "best Haggis in Edinburgh".

They recommended this place and we were not disappointed! The food is lovely (especially the haggis, you should try it if you don't know what to choose! The pics just don't do justice) and the place is wonderful. Wide selection of whisky. Totally worth a visit!

Charming personnel. Incredible food. We tried haggis and fish&chips. Both dishes were very good.I didn't like the interior though, so I am taking 1 star down for atmosphere.

I've seldom felt compelled to pen a review with regard to food, reserving my words for experiences that truly merit distinction. It is with this rare honor that I speak of this restaurant, a culinary haven that not only claims to serve the best haggis in town but also fulfills this promise with remarkable finesse. The symphony of flavours began with two exceptional dishes: the Diana Haggis and a chicken haggis. The Diana Haggis was an enchanting symphony of flavors, bathed in a sauce that elevated the traditional haggis to an art form. On the other side, the chicken dish, adorned with mashed potatoes laced with hints of pineapple, was a testament to the chef's prowess in flavor juxtaposition—spicy undertones of black pepper in perfect counterbalance with sweet whispers. Moreover, a pint of Guinness as an accompaniment enhanced the meal's robust flavors with its creamy, rich depths.I would also thank Lucas (Luke), whose guidance and patient demeanor, even as the night drew to a close, personified the warm hospitality. Additionally, the decor—a blend of elegance and comfort—sets the stage for an exquisite dining experience. It is a rarity for a meal to beckon a return to a city, yet here I am, enticed to revisit Edinburgh for another savory encounter with this haggis that has captured my palate and heart. Were it within my power, I would bestow upon this experience a galaxy of stars. It's not every day that a meal transcends the boundaries of taste to become a treasured memory. I am usually not one to review food, but this restaurant has earned every word of praise with their impeccable offerings. They don’t just serve food but memories, etched in flavor and kindness.Kudos!!

Food is absolutely fantastic and I would definitely recommend the Robert Burns Haggis. HUGE portions and good value for money. Gluten Free option was delicious and no problem to order.Unfortunately there was a leak on the top floor and we were slightly messed around moving tables and at one point we were sharing with strangers who didn’t speak much English which slightly ruined the romantic dinner we were hoping for. The staff seemed stressed and it made for quite a strained atmosphere but they tried their best, even when the fire brigade turned up to deal with the leak.Bradley is a star. Efficient and seemed genuinely interested in our comfort and enjoyment. Keep up the good work!

We ordered Haggis with different sauces. I liked Princess Diana's Haggis the most, the sauce was with mustard. The dish cost about 22 pounds. Half would have been enough for me. Dessert with oat, cream and whiskey is unusual, but not at all delicious. The service is excellent. The beer is delicious.

Got the smoked salmon bites and their haggis with whiskey sauce. Bites were average but would still order again. The haggis was really amazing (well better than I expected and this was my first time trying it) The whisky sauce was so rich and full of umami. The haggis was the perfect comfort food on a wet and cold day. The only issue would be the meal may have been a bit too heavy. Would compliment very well with a salad on the side or something acidic.Service here was quite cold... Waiter seems very disinterested and not focused.

Great place if you want to try tasty haggis. However, I ordered a steak asking if I can get a rare medium one and I received cooked beef with sauce and pie. When I was ordering, the waiter said the steak is already cooked and that he thinks it is medium. The waiter could had been better educated and could had informed me the dish which I am ordering is not a real steak as I assumed.
